OUR PROFESSIONAL

Qualified Electrical Services in London

Every electrician we employ will have trained and gained the necessary qualifications to work in domestic and commercial settings. There are various ways electricians can qualify for such work. Typically, London-based electricians will have served an apprenticeship over a three to four-year period and gained a diploma or technical certificate, such as an NVQ or similar. Rest assured that all of our electricians have the correct professional qualifications.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know whether an electrician is qualified?

Ask the electrician if they’re qualified. All properly qualified electricians will be able to show you which qualifications they have. Look out for professional accreditations, too, such as NICEIC.

What do I need to become a qualified electrician?

Usually, some form of technical diploma is needed to get an electrician’s apprenticeship. For one of those, you’ll often need five GCSEs including English and maths.

What is a Level 3 electrical qualification?

This is a professional-level City & Guilds qualification that involves electrical design, fault diagnosis and inspection procedures.

What is an electrician's gold card?

This is an ECS Installation Electrician scheme. Holders of gold cards have the necessary qualifications and hold a current health, safety and environmental assessment issued by ECS.

OUR EXPERTISE WITH

Residential and Commercial Electrical Work

Because all of our electricians are registered with NICEIC, you can be completely assured that they hold the relevant qualifications for the sort of work they are doing. All NICEIC-approved electricians will have a registration number that is printed on their ID card. If you want to check, then you can look them up using this number and confirm for yourself that they are properly qualified whether you have contacted us for electrical work in your home or place of work.
